Response to Autoethnography: Journey of the Self
Catherine Russell discusses how the art of Autoethnographical film making takes one's personal experience and uses it to further explore aspects of society as the subject experienced it. It's interesting to think of how the form can provide a subjective view on the actions that unfold around the main character(s). It is an opportunity for the film maker to attempt to discuss their outlook on life as well as maybe effect how the audience thinks about the subjects being discussed.
