Response to Kino-Eye by Dziga Vertov

In Vertov's writing, I agree with him in that with photography/cinema, the director and camera control every aspect of what he shows. It is always open to interpretation of course, but film really limits ones imagination. It is not like reading a book, looking at a painting or even a photograph. Film captures all the changes in one's facial features to actions and settings. You can tell a story without needing to guess with films.
Vertov points out that with film he can connect life and processes in a continual order.
